Last Season Records: Georgia 8-2; UAB 6-3

What to Know

The Georgia Bulldogs will take on the UAB Blazers at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday at home.

The Bulldogs were hampered by 94 penalty yards against the Clemson Tigers last week, but luckily for them that wasn't the tale of the game. UGA took their contest against Clemson 10-3. UGA's only offensive touchdown came from DB Christopher Smith.

UGA's defense was the real showstopper, as it embarrassed Clemson's offensive line to sack QB D.J. Uiagalelei seven times for a total loss of 46 yards. Leading the way was LB Nakobe Dean and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Dean.

Meanwhile, UAB kept a clean sheet against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks last Wednesday and took the game 31 to nothing. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Blazers had established a 24 to nothing advantage. UAB QB Tyler Johnston III was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 320 yards on 21 attempts.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when the Bulldogs and UAB clash.
